Michael “Jammer” James
Michael “Jammer” James has been involved with the Flowers Band for nearly thirty years. Jammer went with the band to Austria for a tour in 1989 on Solo Trombone and signed for the band on the bus journey back. He held the position for many years until he moved to Second Trombone to allow a certain Brett Baker to sit on Solo. After retiring from playing some years later, Jammer took up the role of chairman within the band and has been a crucial part of Flowers Band for the past three decades.
As a newly-qualified teacher in Corsham, Wiltshire, Karin was soon involved with the town brass band transferring her skills as a pianist to tuned percussion. 31 years ago the move to Gloucester with a new job saw her join Flowers Band enjoying its winning period during the 80's and early 90's. No longer playing Karin is now part of the administration team with her role as Librarian or on the CD stand.
