We are thrilled to be joining our great friends at St Dennis Band in a joint concert. This is the first time we have performed in Cornwall in over a decade and we’re thrilled to be coming back, this time as National Champions of Great Britain!

The Flowers Band are delighted to return to The Bacon Theatre to perform a concert with a programme that truly will have something for everyone!

Repertoire will range from music from films, original works written especially for The Flowers Band, and classic repertoire from the brass band world, as well as solo performances from the bands award winning soloists.

On the programme is the bands award winning “Game On!” programme which won the Audience Prize at the 2024 Brass in Concert Championships. This innovative set of 5 pieces tells the story of the evolution of video gaming, from the earliest days of “Pong” through to the world of modern Virtual Reality.

The 2024 National Brass Band Champions of Great Britain present a spellbinding evening of uplifting music.

The band makes its Snape Maltings debut with a wide-ranging programme including classic brass-band numbers and new arrangements. There is music by Dvořák, Bliss, and Ivor Novello Award winner Gavin Higgins, plus familiar hits from stage and screen.

The band will compete at The British Open Brass Band Championships, one of the most prestigious brass band competitions in the world.

In 2024, the band achieved 2nd place, our highest ever result at the event.

Flowers Band are National Champions 2024, four times French Open Champions and won the Audience Prize at Brass in Concert 2024. With an international reputation for musical excellence they will represent England at the 2026 European Championships in Linz, Austria.

Paul Holland is in demand as conductor and adjudicator throughout Europe.

The band will compete at The National Championships of Great Britain as defending champions.
